Advanced TS2 Guard™ is our proprietary friction and wear-protection technology developed for Lorenzo’s Oil™ through nearly two decades of formulation development, testing, refinement and real-world use.
A key component of TS2 Guard is WS2 (tungsten disulfide), an advanced solid lubricant known for its extremely low-friction properties. But TS2 Guard is much more than simply adding WS2 powder to engine oil.
Solid lubricants must be properly incorporated and kept dispersed within a liquid lubricant. Without the proper carrier, formulation and processing methods, nanoparticles can agglomerate or clump together, reducing their effectiveness.
Our proprietary process uses a specialized carrier system and formulation method to incorporate WS2 into advanced base oils, including esters and PAO/mPAO hydrocarbons, while maintaining approximately 95% of the solid-lubricant material in suspension.
Years of development went into refining how WS2, the carrier system, base oils and other carefully balanced components work together to create the finished TS2 Guard™ formulation used today.
