CHOOSE YOUR ANALYSIS PACKAGE
Basic Analysis — Blue Sticker
The Basic Analysis package includes:
- Spectrometal analysis: Analysis of 24 wear, additive, and contaminant metals (ASTM D6595M)
- Viscosity: ASTM D445M
- Percent water: Crackle test, followed by Karl Fischer testing (ASTM D6304) if positive
- Oxidation: ASTM D7414
- Nitration: ASTM D7624
- Antifreeze: FTIR, ASTM D2982
- Soot: ASTM D7844
Advanced Analysis + Particle Count — Red Sticker
The Advanced Analysis package includes every test provided with the Basic Analysis package, plus:
- ISO particle count: ISO 4406 testing performed according to ASTM D7647, often referred to as laser net fines or particle-count analysis
Particle-count testing provides additional insight into the quantity and size distribution of particles present in the oil.
Both Analysis Packages Include:
- Pre-paid return shipping label
- Testing performed by Predictive Maintenance Services

Why Run Oil Analysis (Especially With Bypass Filtration)?
- Validate bypass filtration performance and track improvements over time with repeat samples.
- Optimize service intervals—extend oil drains and bypass element changes safely when results confirm the oil is holding up.
- Detect fuel dilution early (often from DPF regeneration) before it accelerates wear.
- Spot abnormal wear metals early to help prevent major component failures (bearings, pistons, turbo, etc.).
- Monitor additive package strength so you know when the oil is still protecting—and when it isn’t.
- Catch contamination that filtration can’t correct (fuel dilution, oxidation/soot trends, coolant risk indicators) even when oil looks “fine.”
- Lower total operating costs by preventing failures, reducing wasted oil, and safely extending drain life.
How to Take an Oil Sample:
- Start with high-quality oil and run an oil analysis every 7,500 miles.
- Run the engine for 3–6 minutes to agitate the oil.
- For best results, collect the oil sample midstream from the oil drain plug.
- Seal the sample bottle securely.
- Complete the sample information sheet.
- Peel off the sticker label and attach it to the clear sample bottle.
- Place the clear sample bottle inside the white Predictive Maintenance Services protective container and securely tighten the cap.
- Place the sealed container inside the pre-paid USPS mailing pouch.
- Record or photograph the tracking number printed on the mailing envelope before shipping it.
- Drop the sealed package off at a USPS Post Office.
Important Sample Information:
Write down or take a clear photograph of your completed sample information sheet before mailing it. Your unique sample number appears at the bottom of the sheet, below the barcode. Keep this number available in case you need to check the status of your analysis.
You should also record or photograph the USPS tracking number on the mailing envelope before submitting your sample.
Work with Predictive Maintenance Services to discuss engine-specific, condition-based monitoring before extending oil-change or bypass filter element service intervals.
Results take approximately 1.5 weeks from the time USPS receives the package.

Return & Refund Policy
General Return Policy
Due to the nature of aftermarket automotive components, returns are not accepted for buyer’s remorse, incorrect ordering, or compatibility issues. Customers are responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility prior to purchase. We encourage reviewing installation guides and confirming pressure and return port locations before ordering.
Products that have been installed, used, modified, contaminated with oil or fluids, or show signs of installation are not eligible for return or refund, except where required by law.
Any return request must be approved in advance. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
Damaged, Defective or Missing Items
All products are inspected prior to shipment. If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 business days of delivery and provide clear photos of the damage and packaging.
Only unused items in original condition are eligible for replacement or refund. Upon inspection and confirmation, you may choose between a replacement or a full refund.
Missing components must be reported within 15 days of the delivery date. Each order is packed individually to help ensure all components are included and to maintain quality control. A packing slip/manifest is included with every shipment; please review it upon delivery to verify that all components were received.
Approved Returns & Refunds
In rare cases where a return is approved (outside of damage on arrival), requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.
Approved refunds will be issued minus:
- Return shipping costs
- Original outbound shipping costs (even if free shipping was offered)
- Payment processing fees charged by Shopify (approximately 2.4–2.5% + $0.30)
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after returned items are received and inspected.
