- 1 EXTREME 2 bypass oil filter housing (HX2SHBK) (HX2SHBLU) (HX2SHRED)
- 1 EXTREME 2 filter element (EX2ME) with o-rings (GX1/2)
- 2 In/Out fittings (AN06-04MS90)
- 2ft and 5ft hose (LW06BK) Notice: Hose ships uncut as a single 7' continuous length to allow flexible mounting and routing.
- 1 Under-the-hood bracket with bolts (UTHS)
Pressure Port Options
Duramax engines may be equipped with either the straight-thread plug or a tapered-thread plug. Scroll down to see the description between both and quickly identify which style is installed on your engine.

Straight Thread: (6MBPRR) + o-ring (O16) + fitting (AN06-02MP90 + AN06-06FJ)

How to Identify Your Pressure Port Thread:
The image above has circled the pressure port plug to check:
Loosen or Remove the plug and use description below to identify your pressure port option:
• If the plug has a flat shoulder/ledge that stops against the engine and may include a washer, crush washer, or o-ring then your pressure port option is "straight thread".
• If the plug does not have have a washer, crush washer, or o-ring then it is most likely a "tapered thread".
Important note about removing the oil pressure plug:
Some customers find it easy to remove this plug and others find it difficult. This is why we highly recommend removing the plug to verify the thread before ordering a kit. Here are some tips submitted by our customers to help with removing this plug:
• Some suggest cutting an allen wrench to shorten the length to allow for additional room to use a breaker bar or other leverage device.
• Some recommend slightly lifting vehicle to drop suspension, this gives a little more room to work around the area.

• Aluminum straight thread fittings are made for no more than 60 inch pounds of torque. • Important: Does not work with Dual Alternators. If you have dual alternators use the "Frame Mount" version of this kit seen here.
The following installation guides are for older legacy kits. The fittings are different but the concept is the same, please use this as reference only.

Shipping Policy
U.S. Shipping
We may occasionally use a shipping carrier different from the one selected at checkout to improve delivery speed, protect fragile items, or reduce overall shipping and handling costs, including packaging and processing.
International Shipping
International shipping charges are calculated at checkout and do not include customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or tariffs imposed by your country upon import. These fees are not controlled by Insane Diesel and vary by location and local regulations.
Customers are solely responsible for all import-related charges. We strongly recommend contacting your local customs office or postal service in advance to understand applicable fees before placing an order.

Return & Refund Policy
General Return Policy
Due to the nature of aftermarket automotive components, returns are not accepted for buyer’s remorse, incorrect ordering, or compatibility issues. Customers are responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility prior to purchase. We encourage reviewing installation guides and confirming pressure and return port locations before ordering.
Products that have been installed, used, modified, contaminated with oil or fluids, or show signs of installation are not eligible for return or refund, except where required by law.
Any return request must be approved in advance. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
Damaged or Defective Items
All products are inspected prior to shipment. If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 business days of delivery and provide clear photos of the damage and packaging.
Only unused items in original condition are eligible for replacement or refund. Upon inspection and confirmation, you may choose between a replacement or a full refund.
Approved Returns & Refunds
In rare cases where a return is approved (outside of damage on arrival), requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.
Approved refunds will be issued minus:
- Return shipping costs
- Original outbound shipping costs (even if free shipping was offered)
- Payment processing fees charged by Shopify (approximately 2.4–2.5% + $0.30)
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after returned items are received and inspected.
