Designed exclusively for the 3.0 Duramax engine, this complete assembly includes a precision-machined T6 billet aluminum oil filter sandwich plate and a correctly matched stainless-steel oil filter thread extender. The sandwich plate features a 3-inch sealing surface and installs at the engine’s oil filter location to provide the pressure-side oil supply connection required by a bypass oil filter system.
Easier Alternative to the Legacy Tee-Fitting Method
The factory pressure-port location used by the legacy tee-fitting method is extremely difficult to access. This Sandwich Plate with Thread Extension Kit avoids that hard-to-reach connection and can reduce installation labor by an average of 2–3 hours. It is the recommended pressure-port option for most DIY installers and professional shops.

Important Installation and Maintenance Requirements
Follow these requirements along with the complete instructions supplied with the product:
- During initial installation: Clean the thread extender, apply Blue Loctite 242 or an equivalent threadlocker, and then torque the thread extender to 35 ft-lb.
- At every oil-filter change: Check that the thread extender is torqued to 35 ft-lb.
- If the billet oil filter sandwich plate is ever removed: Replace the O-ring before reinstalling the plate. Do not reuse the old O-ring.

Important Fitment Information
This oil filter sandwich plate and thread extender are designed only for the 3.0L Duramax engine. They will not fit other Duramax engine sizes or non-Duramax applications.
This product provides the oil-supply connection for a bypass oil filter system. It is not a complete bypass oil filter kit.
Average labor-time reduction is based on comparison with the legacy tee-fitting pressure-port method. Actual installation time varies by vehicle, tools, workspace, and installer experience.

U.S. Shipping
We may occasionally use a shipping carrier different from the one selected at checkout to improve delivery speed, protect fragile items, or reduce overall shipping and handling costs, including packaging and processing.
International Shipping
International shipping charges are calculated at checkout and do not include customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or tariffs imposed by your country upon import. These fees are not controlled by Insane Diesel and vary by location and local regulations.
Customers are solely responsible for all import-related charges. We strongly recommend contacting your local customs office or postal service in advance to understand applicable fees before placing an order.

Return & Refund Policy
General Return Policy
Due to the nature of aftermarket automotive components, returns are not accepted for buyer’s remorse, incorrect ordering, or compatibility issues. Customers are responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility prior to purchase. We encourage reviewing installation guides and confirming pressure and return port locations before ordering.
Products that have been installed, used, modified, contaminated with oil or fluids, or show signs of installation are not eligible for return or refund, except where required by law.
Any return request must be approved in advance. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
Damaged, Defective or Missing Items
All products are inspected prior to shipment. If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 business days of delivery and provide clear photos of the damage and packaging.
Only unused items in original condition are eligible for replacement or refund. Upon inspection and confirmation, you may choose between a replacement or a full refund.
Missing components must be reported within 15 days of the delivery date. Each order is packed individually to help ensure all components are included and to maintain quality control. A packing slip/manifest is included with every shipment; please review it upon delivery to verify that all components were received.
Approved Returns & Refunds
In rare cases where a return is approved (outside of damage on arrival), requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.
Approved refunds will be issued minus:
- Return shipping costs
- Original outbound shipping costs (even if free shipping was offered)
- Payment processing fees charged by Shopify (approximately 2.4–2.5% + $0.30)
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after returned items are received and inspected.
